Bohemian FC is delighted to confirm the signing of talented teenage striker Hugh Martin from UCD.
Martin, 16, came through St Kevin’s, Dundalk and the UCD Academy, before making his first-team UCD debut in April at the age of just 15.
Manager Alan Reynolds: “Hughie is an exceptionally talented young player with an eye for goal, so we are delighted to get him in.
“He’s only just turned 16, he’s still in fifth year in school, so he’s one for the future but we have watched his development and from what we have seen from him, he will get opportunities this season.
“If he keeps working hard and developing at the rate he has, he has a very bright future ahead of him at this club.
“We can already see the qualities and great potential he has so we want to nurture and develop that in both the U20s and in the first team.”

Martin said: “It is a huge honour for me to sign for Bohs. It’s my first professional contract which is obviously a special moment for me.
“I’d like to thank my family and all the coaches who have helped me to this point and I know the hard work is only starting now.
“My target is obviously to break into the first team but I know I have a lot of work to do to do that. I’m a striker, I like to get in behind defenders and score goals and my dream now is to score goals for Bohs.
“I’m really looking forward to getting training and learning from the coaches and staff and Bohs, and showing what I can do.”
