Bohemian FC is delighted to confirm that midfielder Curtis Egan has signed his first professional contract with the club.

The 16-year-old joined from Belvedere aged 13, representing the Bohemian FC Academy all the way through from U14s to U20s.

Manager Alan Reynolds said: “Curtis is a really versatile player, with a lovely left foot. He has a great range of passing. He’s a really good footballer, who will continue to develop and get stronger the longer he is in with us.

“He’s a local lad, he’s been capped at underage level, and he is a really good prospect, who can play as a box-to-box midfielder or as No 10.”

Egan, who attends O’Connells School, said: “This is a special day for me and my family as I sign my first professional contract.

“I’d like to thank my family and all coaches who have helped me to this stage in my career.

“My target would be to get as many senior minutes as I can, and to develop into the best player possible.

“As a player, I feel I am good on the ball and am able to cover a lot of ground.

“I’m looking forward to getting to learn from both players and coaches, and showing what I’m capable of.”
