Bohemian Football Club is pleased to announce the integration of our small-sided games programme into our League of Ireland Academy.
As explained in the video with Director of Football Pat Fenlon in the video below, the club’s small-sided games programme (U8s to U12s) will now be based at the Bohemian Academy at the Oscar Traynor Centre.
Open sessions for the small-sided games programme will be held in the first two weeks of July, with parents/guardians invited to register interest here.
(Note: If you have already filled out the previous expression of interest form, you can now select what training session you wish you child to attend. Dates of the open sessions are included at the end of this page.)
Welcoming the integration of the small-sided games programme under the umbrella of the club’s academy, Director of Football Pat Fenlon said: “I’m delighted we are now in a position to announce the integration of our small-sided games programme into our League of Ireland Academy. This is a really exciting and highly positive announcement for the club.
“We also now have a first class facility at the Bohemian Academy, at the Oscar Traynor Centre, which has seen a lot of development in recent times, with addition of a new analysis room, games room, dining area, viewing area for parents and supporters, and a gym.
“We also have plans for further development of a new small-sided games Astro pitch, which will be completed in 2025, and also the expansion of the grass pitch into a grass training area and 11-a-side grass pitch.
“The merger of our small-sided games teams, with the upgrades of the facilities at the centre, will allow us to recruit and develop the best players and coaches in a top class environment.
“We already have brilliant people working within our academy structure, with a tremendous drive and work ethic, to make Bohs a special place for young players to develop and grow.
“The acquisition of the Oscar Traynor Centre and the further development of it is a huge step forward for the football club.
“We will need the support and the help of our supporters and members to continue the development of the centre to make it the best in class in this country for the development of underage football.
“It is also important that we recognise the brilliant work already done with our youth and community sections to bring the small-sided games teams up to the current level, as we look forward to this new and exciting chapter in the history of our club.”
