Bohemian FC is delighted to confirm the signing of attacking midfielder Josh Adam until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
The 22-year-old, a former Scotland U21 international, came through the youth ranks at Celtic and Manchester City, before spells with Wrexham and, most recently, Czech side Dynamo České Budějovice.
Welcoming Adam to Dalymount Park, manager Alan Reynolds said: “Josh is a really technical and attacking player, who we believe will add real attacking quality in the final third.
“He’s come through the academy systems at Celtic and Man City, can play the No 10 role and off the striker really well, and is a handful for defenders.
“We’re looking forward to working with him now, getting him up to speed fitness-wise and with how we play, and we believe he can make an impact here between now and the end of the season.”
Adam said: “It feels amazing to be here, it’s been good to get it over the line. The boys have been really nice and have welcomed me into the group.
“I was here last night, watched the game, and the atmosphere was amazing. I watched the European game last week too when I knew I was coming here. It was a great result for the club getting through to another round in Europe so it’s an exciting time to come here.
“I’ve spoken to the manager. He told me about the club, the project this season, and it was really exciting, and I thought it would be a great fit for me.
“I spoke to my agent, Kevin Hunt, and he told me how he loved playing here, everything about the club and the city, and said that it would be an amazing experience.
“I like to play attacking midfielder, No 10 role, or I can play box-to-box. I like to assist, create chances, and obviously a few goals here and there.
“I’m looking forward to helping the boys, whether it’s off the bench or from the start, especially with the European games coming up. I’ll be a new face in, and hopefully add a bit of energy. I just can’t wait to get going.”
