Everyone at Bohemian FC wishes Josh Harpur the very best of luck as he today completes his move to Serie A side Como 1907 for an undisclosed fee.
Harpur, who turned 17 last month, made his Bohs first-team debut in 2025 in an FAI Cup tie against Killester-Donnycarney in July aged just 15, and made his league debut in May this year off the bench against Derry City.

He began his journey with his local club Kingscourt Harps in Cavan, and represented Cavan and Monaghan at inter-county level, originally as a goalkeeper until the age of 11.
He had brief stints with Shelbourne and Drogheda United’s academy before joining the Bohemian FC Academy in 2024.

He signed his first professional deal with Bohs in December 2025 and was put on the club’s High-Player-Potential Programme (HPPP), which works with younger players and their schooling to phase them into a full-time professional environment and accelerate their development.
He has starred for Trevor Croly’s Bohs U20s, winning seven international caps for Ireland at U17 level, scoring three international goals.

Manager Alan Reynolds said: “Josh is a really exciting young striker. He has a brilliant attitude, and I’m confident he will go on to have a really good career.
“You don’t want to put too much pressure on a 17-year-old but he has serious potential to push on. He’s a brilliant striker for his age, scores goals and holds up the ball well.

“He’s really hungry to do well and if he maintains that, and continues to progress and learn in the way he has been, he will do very well. We wish him the very best of luck.”
Harpur said: “I would really like to thank everyone at the club who have supported me for the two years I spent with Bohs.
“Bohs gave me the platform to become a professional and that’s something I will always be grateful for, and I wish nothing but the best for the club in the coming years.”
